The people behind the wine...
While researching our wine books, we interviewed numerous winemakers, winery owners and grape growers. Originally we planned to include these interviews in our winery books, but because the interviews are too long for the books and too interesting to edit most of them away, we have taken the opportunity to share these wonderful, sometimes funny and always interesting interviews here.
We learned many things during our interviews. One example is that winemakers have eclectic and often fascinating backgrounds. From engineers to inventors, hobbyists to university-trained viticulturalists, all have one thing in common: they love making great wines! And many of the winemakers we talked with are also winery owners or grape growers, which brought on a whole new set of questions and things to learn!
