Wine and Food! YUM!
Many winery owners, grape growers, winemakers and others associated with the business love wine, but they also love great food, especially when paired with their favorite wines. We had planned to include winery recipes in our Wine-Oh! Guides, but we were offered so many that it became impossible to include them all without creating a cookbook.
We didn't want all those great recipes to sit in our files unshared with our readers, so we are posting them here (with their owners' permission)!
We have enjoyed several of these recipes ourselves, prepared by their creators. One of our favorites comes from Latcham Winery: "Margaret's Pass the Port Brownies," which are usually available in their tasting room. They're such a hit that we raved about them in Latcham's listing the Wine-Oh! Guide to California's Sierra Foothills! If you're a chocolate lover, then you'll be in heaven when you pair this wonderful treat with a glass of their award-winning wine.
We have tried recreating several of these recipes, mostly with great success. Our advice to you is to try those that sound interesting and see how you do.
